The Foundation for the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB), and the entire IRB community, bid farewell to Countess Heidi Goëss-Horten, who passed away on June 12, 2022, and express their deep gratitude for her important contribution to the birth and development of the Institute, including for the realization of the new headquarters in Bellinzona.
The Institute for Research in Biomedicine has enjoyed a long and fruitful partnership with the Helmut Horten Foundation (HHF), of which Countess Heidi Goëss-Horten was the vice-president. Beside supporting the activities of the IRB since the beginning in year 2000, the HHF contributed significantly to the development of the IRB’s successful collaboration with the ETH in Zurich.
By bidding farewell to Countess Heidi Goëss-Horten, the IRB Foundation and the IRB community express their gratitude to the Helmut Horten Foundation for their support and commitment to the development of biomedical research at the IRB and in Ticino.
