To mark the enormous contributions of immunology to health and well-being, IUIS and EFIS celebrate every year since 2005 the International Day of Immunology on April 29. For this exceptional 2021 DoI, a series of special events around the theme COVID-19 has been organized, among them, a Webinar entitled “Immunology in the time of COVID-19: achievements, challenges and opportunities”.
The program will start with a welcome message by Anthony Fauci and will include lectures by Ozlem Tureci, co-founder of BioNTech, Davide Corti, Senior Vice President, Antibody Research, Humabs/Vir Biotechnology (based in Bellinzona), Shane Crotty of the Vaccine Discovery Division at La Jolla Institute for Immunology and Laurence Zitvogel, Scientific Director of the Immuno-Oncology program at Gustave Roussy in Paris.
