Prof. Greta Guarda, Head of the Immune Mechanisms Laboratory at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) and Faculty of Biomedical Sciences Deputy Dean at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), has been nominated President Elect of the Swiss Society for Allergology and Immunology (SSAI). Greta Guarda has joined incoming President Camillo Ribi and Past President Christian Münz.
Bringing together scientists, diagnostic laboratory specialists and physicians, the Swiss Society for Allergology and Immunology (SSAI) plays a pioneering role in multidisciplinary biomedical progress. The Society establishes new treatment methods and aims for scientific and medical excellence in the field. Main tasks of the SSAI are to promote quality, research, education and collaboration by supporting its members and participating in national and international organizations.
