At the 10th Swiss Apoptosis Meeting organized by Thomas Kaufmann, Mario Tschan and Thomas Brunner at the University of Bern, Switzerland, the FEBS Journal editors awarded Alessandro Marazza for the best poster presentation. Over 200 participants from Switzerland, Europe and overseas, including a considerable number of young scientists, attended the Conference, which took place on September 12th-14th, 2018 and focused on concepts and methods in programmed cell death and autophagy. Alessandro’s work entitled “Endoplasmic Reticulum Quality Control of Collagen in Eukaryotic Cells” was selected amongst about 70 posters presented at the Conference. Alessandro is currently a PhD student working in the Protein Folding and Quality Control Laboratory head by Prof. Maurizio Molinari.
