The valorisation of discoveries made at the Institute is one of our goals. The IRB encourages, promotes and supports the exploitation of research findings, as well as collaborations with non-academic partners as long as these are compatible with the institute’s mission and regulations, and with the principle of academic freedom.
Such activities are supported and coordinated through the Technology Transfer Office of the Research and Knowledge Transfer Service at the USI.
Below is an overview of the institute’s patented technologies and discoveries for which we are seeking partnerships with the private sector:
– antibodies against infectious diseases (e.g. coronaviruses, flaviviruses, rubiviruses)
– antibodies to chemokines
– diagnostics for long COVID
– anti-inflammatory compounds
– B lymphocyte engineering for antibody production
