The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) and The Rockefeller University (RU) partnership for research on infectious diseases
The goal of the IRB-RU partnership is to support the execution of innovative research on existing and emerging infectious diseases of global importance that is not funded by traditional funding sources. The overarching strategy of the partnership spans basic, translational, and early clinical research, to promote the discovery and advancement of promising products to combat these diseases. This collaboration utilises state-of-the-art approaches and technologies available at both institutions and facilitates cross-institutional training of young scientists and clinicians.
As part of the partnership, the IRB organises an infectious disease seminar series, involving experts from around the globe.
