From September 16 to 18, 2026, around 130 researchers from the Research Institutes of Bellinzona gathered in Morschach for the Bios⁺ Scientific Retreat 2026.
Three days dedicated to science, exchange and sharing brought together scientists from the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) and the Institute of Oncology Research (IOR), both affiliated with the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), and the Institute for Translational Research (USI-EOC).
Scientific presentations, poster sessions and group discussions gave participants the opportunity to share results, ideas and perspectives, learn more about the work carried out across the different laboratories, and create new opportunities for dialogue across different areas of expertise and research.
The scientific program was complemented by team-building activities and informal moments, giving the Bios⁺ community the opportunity to spend time together outside the everyday laboratory environment. It was a valuable occasion not only to discuss science, but also to get to know each other better, strengthen connections across research groups and institutes, and share three days of scientific exchange and discussion.
The Scientific Retreat, at its 4th edition this year, once again proved to be an important event for Bios⁺: a space to share today’s research, build new connections and lay the foundations for future collaborations.
