The Bellinzona Institutes of Science (Bios+) association composed of two members – the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) and the Oncology Research Institute (IOR), affiliated to the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) – has ratified the appointment of Prof. Franco Cavalli as president for the next two years. The rotation, which according to the Articles of Association takes place every two years, will now see Avv. Gabriele Gendotti take on the role of vice-president.
Bellinzona, May 24, 2023 – The appointment of Prof. Cavalli as president was unanimously ratified by the Assembly that met today, Wednesday May 24, at the Bios+ building in Bellinzona.
Under the leadership of Atty. Gendotti, President of the IRB Foundation, the association has laid the foundations for the development of a biomedical pole in Ticino and Italian-speaking Switzerland. In the next two years, under the leadership of Prof. Cavalli, Bios+ will continue to be committed to promoting scientific excellence in the national and international context.
