On Thursday, 28 November 2013, the Institute for Research in Biomedicine will host the fifth meeting of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) in Ticino, entitled:
EADV Dermatological Meeting in Ticino – From the Bench to the Clinic
The meeting organized by the EADV Scientific Committee in close collaboration with the Ticinese Society of Dermatology, the Dermatology Department from the Regional Hospital and the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (affiliated to USI), received this year for the first time the accreditation of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
The meeting day will consist of a research session in the morning (“Immune Response and Skin”), followed in the afternoon by a clinic session (“Beneath the surface: Dermatological clues to underlying disorders “). Participants in the debate are Swiss and Italian leading researchers, physicians and experts who will discuss the most recent advances in the field of dermatology and venereology.
After the success of the first four editions, EADV, which is the largest association of dermatology and venereology in Europe (www.eadv.org), has decided to renew its commitment to this initiative to promote research , education and training not only from dermatologists but also from all other specialists in related fields of medicine in Ticino.
