The 2017 special award from the City of Bellinzona was given to Prof. Giorgio Noseda for the many years dedicated to Ticino, its population and the City of Bellinzona in science and culture, in particular with the creation of the Institute for Research in biomedicine which, in addition to giving prestige to the region and the entire canton, significantly contributes to the progress of medical science.
Prof. Noseda is the Founder Member and First President of the IRB Foundation.
