Stefan Emming successfully defended his PhD thesis, which was presented at the University of Bern on April 11th, 2019. His thesis title was “Mechanisms of regulation of human T cell activation and GM-CSF production” and the study was performed in the Molecular Immunology lab headed by Dr. Silvia Monticelli at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine, in Bellinzona. His PhD committee was composed by Prof. Britta Engelhardt, Co-advisor, and Prof. Dr. Siegfried Hapfelmeier, Mentor, both of them from the University of Bern (CH), while his external Co-referee was Dr. Dirk Baumjohann from the Institute for Immunology, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität LMU, Munich (DE). Stefan Emming received the title of “PhD in Immunology” from the Graduate School for Cellular and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Bern (CH).
