Fiorenza Fumagalli successfully defended her PhD thesis, which was presented at the University of Bern on March 16th, 2017. Her thesis title was “Unraveling the molecular pathways controlling recovery from a transient ER stress in mammalian cells” and the work has been done in the Protein Folding and Quality Control laboratory of Maurizio Molinari. Her co-advisor was Prof. Mario Tschan, her mentor Prof. André Schneider, both from the University of Bern, while her external examiner was Prof. Eelco van Anken from San Raffaele Scientific Institute, Milan, Italy. Fiorenza received the title of “PhD of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology” from the University of Bern.
