Lisa Perruzza successfully defended her PhD thesis, which was presented at the University of Bern on June 17th, 2016. Her thesis title was “The purinergic P2X7 receptor at the interface between adaptive immune system and bacterial commensals in the intestine” and the work has been done in the T Cell Development laboratory of Fabio Grassi. Her co-advisor was Prof. Kathy McCoy, her mentor Prof. Philippe Krebs, both from the University of Bern, while her external examiner was Prof. Giuseppe Matarese from the University of Naples. Lisa received the title of “PhD in Immunology”.
