In her thesis entitled \u201c<em>Anabolic and catabolic control of endoplasmic reticulum homeostasis<\/em>\u201d Ilaria characterized the anabolic and catabolic programs activated by mammalian cells to maintain ER homeostasis and function. The work was performed in the laboratory of Maurizio Molinari at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine, Bellinzona.
