class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Disordine, ordine e vita<\/strong><\/p><p>La vita nasce dall&#8217;organizzazione di materia disordinata in strutture ordinate e funzionali. All&#8217;interno delle cellule, questa organizzazione \u00e8 resa possibile non solo dagli organelli delimitati da membrane, ma anche dalla straordinaria capacit\u00e0 delle proteine di auto-organizzarsi in assemblaggi macromolecolari privi di membrana. Queste strutture compartimentalizzano le reazioni biochimiche, coordinano le risposte cellulari e consentono alle cellule di adattarsi ai cambiamenti dell&#8217;ambiente circostante.<\/p><p>L&#8217;auto-organizzazione delle proteine comprende un ampio spettro di fenomeni, tra cui la separazione di fase, l&#8217;aggregazione e la formazione di amiloidi. Attraverso questi processi, le proteine possono passare da stati solubili a stati condensati o altamente ordinati, riorganizzando l&#8217;ambiente cellulare e generando nuove funzioni biologiche. Un numero crescente di evidenze dimostra che questi meccanismi rappresentano regolatori fondamentali della fisiologia cellulare e che la loro alterazione \u00e8 coinvolta nell&#8217;invecchiamento e in patologie quali il morbo di Alzheimer e il morbo di Parkinson.<\/p><p>Il nostro gruppo di ricerca si propone di identificare i principi che governano l&#8217;auto-organizzazione delle proteine lungo l&#8217;intero spettro degli assemblaggi funzionali e patologici. In particolare, vogliamo comprendere: (1) quali forme di auto-organizzazione proteica esistano nelle cellule; (2) come vengano assemblate e regolate; (3) quali funzioni fisiologiche svolgano; e (4) in che modo il loro malfunzionamento contribuisca all&#8217;invecchiamento e alla malattia.<\/p><p>Studiamo queste domande principalmente nel contesto dell&#8217;immunit\u00e0 e dell&#8217;invecchiamento. In particolare, analizziamo come le proteine coinvolte nelle risposte immunitarie si auto-organizzino per rilevare segnali di pericolo, coordinare le risposte infiammatorie e mantenere l&#8217;omeostasi dei tessuti. Parallelamente, ci occupiamo di comprendere come l&#8217;auto-organizzazione delle proteine regoli il metabolismo e la fisiologia cellulare durante l&#8217;invecchiamento e come le alterazioni associate all&#8217;et\u00e0 contribuiscano alle malattie neurodegenerative e ad altre patologie.<br \/>Per affrontare queste sfide adottiamo un approccio fortemente interdisciplinare che combina biologia cellulare, biochimica, biofisica e ingegneria molecolare, facendo uso di tecnologie avanzate di imaging, ricostituzione proteica e microfluidica.<br \/>Integrando concetti provenienti dalle scienze della vita e dalle scienze fisiche, puntiamo a svelare i principi fondamentali che governano l&#8217;organizzazione della materia vivente. Il nostro obiettivo finale \u00e8 comprendere come l&#8217;auto-organizzazione delle proteine modelli le funzioni cellulari e utilizzare queste conoscenze per sviluppare nuove strategie per la
